The Kefalonia Airport was built in late 1970s and is located on the island of Kefalonia. This single terminal airport is operated by the Greek government and was opened in 1971. It’s about 9 km from the island capital, Argostoli. The IATA and ICAO codes are EFL and LGKF. It can handle about 400,000 passengers annually. You can access the island by ferries from Patras, Killini, and Ionian islands such as Ithaca and Corfu.
